Hey i'm new here. college student (Go Gators!) just starting a 75gal with 30sump. Live rock is in place. addt'l dry rock on the way and then soon after i will pick up a cleanupcrew. i will have pictures up soon, when i can/when the tank looks decent enough for pictuers.

Adding sand?
I have 100 lbs to add to the exsisitng tank. How much can I add without starting a cycle? I have 100 lbs in there now and it barels covers the bottom. I can see through the bottom and want to cover it and eventually get to a dsb. Any thoughts? Its fiji pink I dont think it matters.

cleaning detrius?
Anyone have any input on cleaning the junk that builds up on the bottom and live rock? I cant get it with a siphon easily? what to do about this. I tried stirring it up a few months ago and figured heck let the filer take care of it then haha algae bloom gallor. Now im just trying to clean this up....
